Kōtuia ngā pūmanawa, hāpaitia te mana hapori.
Sharing strengths, empowering community.

Te Pū Harakeke—Community Collective Manawatū exists to support, empower, and advocate for community groups and kaimahi hapori in Palmerston North and the Manawatū, and together build a strong, vibrant, and connected community sector across the rohe.

Connection and collaboration

We promote connection, collaboration, and information-sharing between community and social service organisations through networking events, facilitating connections, and regular newsletters.

Capability and capacity

We help community and social service organisations in the Manawatū to build their capability and capacity by delivering a range of professional development workshops and one-on-one support for organisations.

Community development

We research the needs of the community sector and undertake activities to meet these needs, such as administering Hancock Community House and the Community Development Small Grants, and hosting the Social Wellbeing Forum.

Advocate on behalf of community and social service organisations by maintaining strong relationships with community leaders and decision-makers. We amplify the stories of our member groups and champion solutions to common challenges.
